The Friends welcome you to take a book, leave a book! Find one of these little free libraries around town.

There are six Dewey's Li'l Libraries located around Downey! One is located at Old River School Elementary, and may be accessed during school hours and while the front gate is open to the public. Please check with the school before visiting to inquire about accessing the little library.
Five members of the Friends of the Downey Library have graciously accepted to maintain the little libraries in front of their homes for public use. At this time we are not releasing their private addresses. However, we do hope you may find one in your neighborhood!

We request you practice the latest social distancing guidelines when visiting the little libraries around town. Please also adhere to the following guidelines:
- Wash or sanitize your hands before and after you take or share books
- If you are sick, do not visit until you are symptom-free
- Please stay informed, and act accordingly.
